They were also both written in the late 1970s and modified in the early 80s.  Dancer works on open chords played at the 12th fret and down the neck.  This was one of Roman’s earlier written bass lines.  He wrote the bass line as specifically inspired by the Getty Lee jam\/bass line in Freewill, by The Real Me, by the Who’s John Entwhistle off of Quadrophenia, and by the Lady Madonna bass line from the double live album, Wings Over America.
