After Midnight was a song first, a novel later and artwork last. The title track to this Launch is part of a three-song trilogy with the segments called After Midnight – Corn Field – Crow Flies. In the Novel After Midnight we return to the protagonist from the first two launches. He finds himself once again traveling for work, this time from his residence in Washington, D.C., to a state court room in Allegheny County Pennsylvania, in Pittsburgh. A surprise event occurs at trial and a fortuitous road trip ensues with further surprises.
